WHO WE ARE
The lovely home now known as Manila Country Home was purchased by Dave and Dian Gibb in 1991 shortly after moving to Utah from Oregon. They fell in love with the rural manila neighborhood in Pleasant Grove and decided this would be the place to finish raising their family. Mr. Gibb, a handyman by nature and a true craftsman at heart, began to remodel the home and provided a park-like back yard for their 12 children and many friends. Now that the children are married, the playground, stables,
and garden are frequented regularly by those children, the In-Laws, and 39 grandchildren.
Now that they are retired, Dave and Dian have decided the best use of their home would be to invite a few elderly, including couples, to live with them and provide for them the assistance often needed as couples retire and look forward to greater leisure and security. Their family home has become a haven of love and caring seldom found in most Assisted Living facilities. Residents become part of the family and their children, grand children, great grandchildren and other loved ones now enjoy the picnic areas, pond, waterfall, tree house, gardens and stables. Visitors are always welcomed with freshly baked cookies and a glass of milk or punch. Even to a home cooked meal with advanced notice.
